Coffey, Hertel to join Telecommunication faculty
Amy Jo Coffey and Lauren Hertel will join the faculty of the Department of Telecommunication beginning in August, 2006.
Coffey will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of broadcast management. She is completing her Ph.D. work at the University of Georgia, with graduation expected in May, 2006.
Hertel, who plans to receive her master’s in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley, in May, will join the department as Online News lecturer.
Coffey has been a full-time faculty member at Berry College, and a graduate teaching assistant at Georgia. She has been a producer, writer, and reporter at several radio and television stations in Ohio, Tennessee and Georgia. She is a graduate of St. Olaf College, in Minnesota, and earned her M.A. from Ohio State University, where she was a Kipplinger Fellow.
