Robinson to join Journalism faculty, lead FSPA
Judy Robinson will join the College as an assistant professor in the Department of Journalism and executive director of the Florida Scholastic Press Association, beginning Aug. 16, Dean Terry Hynes announced today.
Robinson earned the Ph.D. in mass communication from UF in 2000. She worked with UF’s Office of Academic Technology as a senior instructional technologist and designer from 1998-2005.
Since last August, She has been an assistant professor in the College of Education at the University of Central Florida. In her home country, Canada, she was an elementary media specialist and a secondary English and media teacher who advised newspaper, yearbook and video production.
Her research focuses on scholastic journalism, media literacy, new media integration through mobile devices and understanding Millennials through digital/video gaming.
