Students win seven broadcasting awards
University of Florida student journalists won seven awards at the National Broadcasting Society Convention held March 18 in Washington, D.C.
Lindsey Corley and News Five won Best Video News Program; Kevin Gribble, Sophia Lopez, and WRUF-AM Midday won Best Audio News Program; Claudia Hickey won Best Audio News Segment and Best Audio Package; and Trimmel Gomes won Best Audio Feature Package. NBS chapter President Shelby Radloff received the Student Member of the Year Award, and the UF NBS chapter received honorable mention for the Most Improved Chapter.
