Florida FlyIns online magazine is published

The latest edition of the Florida FlyIns online magazine has now been published, Professor John Kaplan announced. Fifteen graduate and undergraduate students took part in the program that traveled to Ecuador during the Fall 2006 semester, the seventh annual journey abroad.

In keeping with industry trends, the FlyIns program increased its emphasis on multimedia storytelling this year, with several stories produced and narrated by students using Soundslides software. Senior Stephanie Rosenblatt, who studies design and multimedia, served as producer for a more involved piece on Ecuador’s woodcarving industry using Flash software, and took the lead on the site’s overall presentation as well.
