Rick Bragg: “Storytelling in the New Age”

Rick Bragg is the author of critically acclaimed and bestselling books and is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist. Bragg was born in Alabama, and worked at several newspapers, including the St. Petersburg Times and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, before joining the New York Times in 1994. He won the Pulitzer for feature writing in 1996 while a roving reporter at the Times. He has twice won the prestigious American Society of Newspaper Editors Distinguished Writing Award, and more than 50 other writing awards in his 20-year career. He currently teaches writing at the University of Alabama. He spoke at the Society of Professional Journalists Region 3 Spring Conference held March 31, 2007 in the College.
