Lowenstein honored by American Jewish Historical Society

Dean emeritus Ralph Lowenstein is being honored in May by The American Jewish Historical Society with its highest award, the Emma Lazarus Statue of Liberty. The Independent Florida Alligator reported the news in the Jan. 7 story, Former journalism dean honored by Jewish community. The Gainesville Sun reported it in the Feb. 9 story, “UF dean to receive Emma Lazarus Statue of Liberty Award”.
