Students win NBS Electronic Media Awards
Three University of Florida students won their overall categories in the National Broadcasting Society National Electronic Media Award Competition.
- Video News Segment: Erica Rakow, "Freezing manatees"
- Video Feature Segment: Sheli Muniz, "Daycare webcams"
- Video Commercials: Camilo Moreno (and Raul Betancourt), "VW commercial"
The College also had four Finalists in the competition:
- Video News Package: Vic Miccoluci, "Police officer shoots grad student"
- Video News Program: Andi Babineau, "WUFT News"
- Video Sports Package: Brittny Krause, "The unexpected opponent"
- Drama Program Script: Sean Webley, "Reverie"
The awards were presented March 18 in Los Angeles.
