On June 11, Diane McFarlin, JM 1976, was named the new dean of the UF College of Journalism and Communications. She will assume the position Jan. 1. Diane is the former publisher of the Herald-Tribune Media Group in Sarasota, one of the largest media companies in Florida and an industry leader in media convergence.
Please join Larry Vettel, TEL 1981, in the final segment of a three-part series, as he interviews Diane about changes in the journalism and communications industries, the College’s leadership role in that evolution and her priorities this fall as she prepares to assume the role of the dean in January.
