Freeman Talks About Berlin Study Abroad Program at International Education Conference

Journalism Associate Professor John Freeman was one of nine speakers selected statewide to present a 75-minute session at the Florida Consortium for International Education’s annual conference Oct. 1-2, 2015, at the Paramount Plaza Hotel in Gainesville. Freeman’s talk, “Berlin Study Abroad — How an Immersion Experience Continues to Grow after 10+ years,” explained how his two-week photojournalism program began small in 2005 but has expanded to include a website of student work, a book featuring their projects, meetings with foreign correspondents, blogs, a summary video and audio slideshows.
