Science Friday’s Julie Leibach to Visit UF as Science Journalist in Residence
Julie Leibach, UF’s fourth Science Journalist in Residence, is the managing editor of online content for Public Radio International’s Science Friday, a website and weekly radio show hosted by Ira Flatow. Prior to her work at Science Friday, she worked as a senior editor and web manager at Audubon magazine.
Leibach’s visit will be April 3- 8, 2016. She will speak at a public event Tuesday, April 5, at 6 p.m. in the Pugh Hall Ocora.
Leibach, a Gainesville native, earned a master’s degree in journalism from New York University’s Science, Health, and Environmental Reporting Program. During that time, Julie did internships at both Audubon magazine and Science Friday. She’s now in her fourth year as managing editor of online content at Science Friday.
The Science Journalist in Residence (SJR) program is funded by the Office of the Provost, the Office of Research and the College of Journalism and Communications.
This event is hosted by the Bob Graham Center.
