Wayne Wanta Quoted in Christian Science Monitor Article
University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Journalism Professor Wayne Wanta was featured in “What’s making President Obama’s approval ratings go up?” in the Oct. 6 online edition of the Christian Science Monitor.
Wanta offered insight into why President Obama is popular across the nation. He claims that typically presidential approval ratings fall late in a presidency, so this trend is highly unusual.
Wanta also suggests that other factors leading to the President’s popularity include his international travel, the economic improvement, his wife’s positive ratings and the public’s negative views of Congress.
Wanta is international known for his research in political communication and media effects.
