Clif Cormier, B.S. Journalism 1962, passed away on Feb. 4 at age 98. Cormier retired from the Marine Corps at age 40 after serving in WWII and the Korean War. After earning his degree, he joined The Gainesville Sun and during his 22-year tenure worked as an education reporter, columnist and city editor. Cormier also self-published a book in 2002 titled A Postcard from Joseph detailing his WWII experience and reinvention as a journalist.
