CJC Publishes Inaugural Issue of Journal of Public Interest Communications
The University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications has published the first academic journal dedicated to the theory and science of strategic communication for social change.
The first issue of the quarterly Journal of Public Interest Communications (JPIC) features seven invited essays from emerging and established scholars, including scholarship from Ph.D. student Jasper Fessmann and a foreword by Ann Christiano, Frank Karel Endowed Chair in Public Interest Communications.
Dr. Brigitta Bruner, Public Relations professor at the Auburn University School of Communication and Journalism, is the JPIC editor and Lauren Griffin is the managing editor. Linda Hon, Public Relations professor, directed the Journal’s launch and will continue to oversee the publication.
