CJC Newscast Receives National College Emmy Award
A University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications student news production received a College Emmy in the 38th Annual College Television Awards Competition Newscast category. The Sept. 2, 2016 edition of “WUFT News First at Five,” co-produced by 2017 Telecommunication graduates Ryan Roberts and Daniela Hurtado, chronicled the aftermath of Hurricane Hermine’s impact on North Central Florida.
The College Television Awards, sponsored by the Television Academy Foundation, were presented in Los Angeles on May 24. The nationwide competition recognizes excellence in student work and spotlights an inclusive group of talented storytellers and content creators who aspire to careers in the entertainment industry.
