CJC Alum Receives National Sports Broadcasting Award
University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications alumni Ben Murphy, B.S. Telecommunication 2017, placed sixth overall in the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America (STAA) All-America Program.
The national competition recognizes the most outstanding collegiate radio and TV sports broadcasters. Judges included leading members of the sports broadcasting industry and former winners of the Jim Nantz Award, the organization’s highest award. Currently Murphy is a multimedia sports journalist at WCBD News 2 in Charleston, S.C.
