CJC Alum Leads Government Affairs Advocacy for First Data Corporation
Kim Ford, B.S. Public Relations 2000, was named senior vice president/head of Government Affairs, for First Data in Washington, D.C. In her new position, Ford will lead the development and strategy of the company’s political advocacy and policy development.
Ford joined First Data in 2004 and has served in several positions within Government Affairs at the state and federal levels. Most recently, she led advocacy efforts on issues arising from Congressional legislation, federal banking agency regulatory proposals, and state legislative measures.
First Data, a global leader in commerce-enabling technology, specializes in point-of-sale systems for small businesses. They serve approximately six million business locations and 4,000 financial institutions in 118 countries around the world.
