Tom Kelleher Completes SEC Academic Leadership Development Program
Tom Kelleher, professor and chair of the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Advertising Department, was selected to participate in the prestigious SEC Academic Leadership Academy Development Program (SEC ALDP) 10th Cohort.
The SEC ALDP seeks to identify, prepare and advance academic leaders for roles within SEC institutions and beyond. It has three components: a university-level development program designed by each institution for its own fellows; two SEC-wide workshops held on specified campuses for all program participants; and a competitive fellowship designed to provide administrative growth opportunities for former fellows.
Kelleher was among nearly 75 fellows and liaisons participating in the three-day final event at Auburn University. Program completion requires fellows to attend two on-campus workshops and be active participants at the campus level. As alumni, they have access to a network of other former fellows and the opportunity to compete for the SEC ALDP Alumni Fellowship.
Michael Weigold, CJC associate dean of Undergraduate Affairs and Enrollment Management, participated in the 2015-16 cohort.
