CJC Alum John Woodrow Cox Named a 2018 Pulitzer Prize Finalist
Washington Post Reporter John Woodrow Cox, B.S. Journalism 2008, M.S. Business Administration 2010, and CJC Outstanding Young Alumnus for 2017-18, was named a finalist for the 2018 Pulitzer Prize in Feature Writing.
According to the Pulitzer site, Cox was nominated for “a gripping portfolio of stories rendered with keen observation and graceful yet simple writing that presents the horror of gun violence from an entirely new perspective: through eyes of children.”
The six-part series, “Children and Gun Violence,” was published from June to December 2017 in The Washington Post. Cox was one of three journalists vying for the top honor.
