Dania Alexandrino Travels to El Salvador to Teach News Reporting Workshop
Dania Alexandrino, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Innovation News Center Spanish-language news manager, recently traveled to El Salvador to teach a two-day workshop for the Savadoran Radio Broadcasters Association in San Salvador.
The workshop, for radio and television journalists, focused on maintaining relevance and producing valuable news content. The sessions included a first-hand look at the work produced by UFCJC student journalists and an interactive segment on simulating the workflow of a U.S. newsroom. In addition, she was invited by Channel 33, a broadcast station in San Salvador, to make a presentation to beat reporters about storytelling and connecting with their audience. She was also a guest on “El Cierre,” a program on Punto 105 FM.
