Huan Chen Receives 2019 McGraw-Hill Distinguished Scholar Award
Huan Chen, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Advertising assistant professor, will receive a McGraw-Hill Distinguished Scholar Award at the 2019 Ethnographic & Qualitative Research Conference (EQRC) on Feb. 25-26 in Las Vegas.
The sixth annual awards recognize quality scholarship among EQRC participants and encourage able scholars to continue participating in the conference. The judging committee reviewed award candidates on their longstanding conference participation, research conference presentations, journal publications and other scholarly contributions to their respective fields. Each year three or four conference attendees are selected for the honor.
Chen’s academic research includes new media and advertising, product placement, international and cross-cultural advertising, and social media and health communication. She has published more than 30 referred journal articles, one book and four book chapters.
