Carma Bylund and Carla Fisher Receive Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Grant
Carma Bylund, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Public Relations associate professor, and Carla Fisher, Advertising associate professor, have received a grant for $323,000 from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for “Improving Family and Healthcare Communication for Caregivers of Parents with Blood Cancer.”


They will be conducting a nationwide survey of caregivers and developing an online healthy communication practice intervention to help adult child caregivers and their parents with blood cancers. Bylund is principal investigator. Fisher is co-investigator with Jason Arnold, director of the E-Learning, Technology and Communication Service in the UF College of Education. They will begin conducting the survey in July 2019.
