Raegan Burden Selected as the Academic 3% Voices Contributor for 2019 Conference
Raegan Burden, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Advertising lecturer of cultural engagement, has been selected by The 3% Movement as the academic “3% Voices Contributor” covering the 2019 conference. In this role, she will produce four editorials that will be featured on 3% Voices, which is distributed to The 3% Movement community along with select features in 3% Academy 2020.
The 3% Movement’s mission is to spotlight the lack of female creative leadership in the advertising industry and its impact on connecting with an overwhelmingly female marketplace. In 2012, only 3 percent of U.S. creative directors were women, and today that number is 29 percent, largely due to the leadership and initiatives of The 3% Movement. The organization has hosted 26 events in cities globally and offers culture consulting services to agencies and brands to support more diverse leadership.
3% Voices is the program’s editorial platform featuring original content, insight and expertise from advertising and creative professionals. Stories and perspectives that impact the advertising industry and world are shared with the 40,000-plus person community.
