Moon Lee Elected President of the Korean American Communication Association
Moon Lee, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Public Relations associate professor, was elected president of the Korean American Communication Association (KACA) for 2019-2021.
KACA is an organization dedicated to serving the academic and social needs of Korean communication scholars and students in North America. Members include researchers who share an interest in exchanging information and conduct research in communication focusing on topics related to Korea, Korean-Americans, and the Asian culture.
According to Lee, “KACA was formally established in 1978 by a small group of Korean American communication scholars. Over the last four decades, KACA has become the premier academic association for Korean American communication scholars, students, and professionals with over 500 members. Our flagship events are hosting academic sessions in three major national/international conferences, International Communication Association, National Communication Association, and Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.”
