CJC Alumna Pens Memoir Chronicling Her Journey of Building Purpose Out of Pain
Consultant, minister, coach and inspirational speaker Nona Jones, B.S. Journalism 2004, will have her memoir “Success from the Inside Out” published by Harper Collins Christian Publishing in Jan. 2020.
Her book chronicles her unlikely journey from a childhood filled with physical and sexual abuse and being diagnosed with a behavioral and learning disability to becoming an executive at age 23 with subsequent leadership roles across the public, private and non-profit sector. The memoir also focuses on the role faith and forgiveness played in her story and provides practical insights on how to build purpose out of pain.
Since graduation from UF, Jones has served in a variety of business and non-profit positions in Florida including Nationwide Insurance, Gainesville Regional Utilities and PACE Center for Girls. She is a graduate of Leadership Florida and the Presidential Leadership Scholars Program, a unique leadership development initiative led by President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush. She currently oversees Global Faith-Based Partnerships for Facebook.
