Amy Jo Coffey Authors Book Chapter on Media Economics
Amy Jo Coffey, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Telecommunication associate professor, is the author of a chapter in A Research Agenda for Media Economics published on Dec. 3.
In chapter 3, “Research Traditions in Media Economics,” she focuses on future media economics research endeavors and suggests collaborating with industry to meet research challenges.
According to Coffey, “Big data, along with advanced analytical techniques, including data fusion, data mining and structural estimation, offer new possibilities.”
The book presents cutting-edge thoughts on the history, development and future of media economics. Prominent media economic scholars from around the world have contibuted information on theory development, consumer and audience demand, information and cultural goods and technological dimensions.
