Tom Kelleher’s PR Textbook Selected as Valuable Resource for PR Accreditation
University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Division of Graduate Studies and Research Associate Dean Tom Kelleher’s textbook Public Relations (2nd edition) was selected by the Public Relations Society of America Universal Accreditation Board (UAB) as a valuable resource for candidates studying for Accreditation in Public Relations (APR).
Kelleher’s textbook was reviewed by several Board members and scored based on a rubric to formalize the review process.
UAB Chair Marion R. Faulk said “We recognized the detailed work that went into the text and aligning it with the KSAs (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities), which should be extremely helpful to candidates studying for the [APR] Examination. In addition, [the] text has already been updated, which shows a willingness to keep it current … also extremely useful to APR candidates, PR students, and [question] writers for the APR Exam.”
