CJC Advertising Senior Named 2021 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Leah Clapper, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Advertising senior and UF gymnast, was named 2021 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year during the 40th edition of the SEC Gymnastics Championship meet on March 19.
Her 3.98 grade point average and her continued stellar performance in collegiate gymnastic competitions helped her secure the honor. She will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in summer 2021 and will then pursue a Professional Master’s degree in the College.
Clapper has also created a food and wellness blog, Zest & Finesse, in hopes to “inspire others to live happier and healthier lives through food.” She recently added a podcast to her platform, Zest & Progress, which focuses on motivating listeners and features interviews with fellow Gator gymnasts.
