UF PRSSA Chapter and Student Members Receive Star Chapter and Gold Key Awards
The University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Chapter has received a national PRSSA 2021 Star Chapter Award.
The award honors chapter leadership for providing programming and relationship-building opportunities for students. The UF PRSSA Chapter, which was one of the nine original PRSSA chapters created in 1968, also received this honor in 2015, 2018 and 2020.
In addition, Kailey Kiss, B.S. Public Relations 2021, and Macayla Bricarell, B.S. Public Relations 2021, received PRSSA National Gold Key awards. The National Gold Key Award, created in 1983, is the highest individual honor recognizing outstanding academic excellence in public relations and leadership bestowed upon PRSSA members.
PRSSA is the foremost organization for college students interested in public relations and communication with nearly 9,000 students and advisers organized into more than 300 chapters in the U.S. and South America. The organization advocates rigorous academic standards for public relations education, adherence to high ethical principles and diversity in the profession.
