CJC Alumna Elected Chair of Council for Economic Education
Rebecca Patterson, B.S. Journalism 1990, was elected as chair of the Council for Economic Education (CEE). She is a current CEE board member and chief investment strategist at Bridgewater Associates headquartered in Westport, Connecticut.
The CEE ‘s mission has been to teach K-12 students about economics and personal finance so they can make better decisions for themselves, their families and their communities. All resources and programs are developed by educators and delivered to nearly 200 affiliates across the country in every state.
At Bridgewater, Patterson is responsible for shaping the firm’s agenda for researching and building systematic strategies in global financial markets and developing new investment solutions for clients. She is a former chair of the University of Florida’s Investment Corporation (UFICO) and for six consecutive years she has been named to American Banker’s Most Powerful Women in Finance list.
