Three CJC Students Receive Scholarships from The LAGRANT Foundation
University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Online Master’s students Patrick Wright and Jade Hecker and Public Relations senior Paola Alvarado are the recipients of The LAGRANT Foundation (TLF) 2022 Scholarships.
TLF, celebrating its 24th Anniversary, awarded $150,000 in scholarships to 50 ethnically diverse college and university students nationwide majoring in advertising, marketing or public relations. Twenty graduate students will each receive $3,750 and 30 undergraduate students will each receive $2,500.
The recipients will also receive a trip to New York City to participate in career-building activities. This includes a welcome dinner with a keynote speaker, three day-long career development workshops and a scholarship and donor-recognition reception. During these activities, students will have the opportunity to meet and network with advertising, marketing and public relations industry professionals.
