Huan Chen and Benjamin Johnson Join Journal of Advertising Editorial Review Board
Huan Chen, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Advertising associate professor, and Benjamin Johnson, Advertising assistant professor, have been named to the Journal of Advertising Editorial Review Board.
Chen and Johnson will serve on the board with CJC Advertising faculty members Michael Weigold and Kasey Windels. Advertising Professor Debbie Treise serves as an associate editor for the publication, and Advertising Department Chair Robyn Goodman serves on the AAA Publications Committee.
Chen’s research interests include new media and advertising, product placement, international and cross-cultural advertising, social media and health communication, and AI and communication.
Johnson’s field of research is focused on why and how people select and share persuasive messages in new media settings, especially as it relates to psychological processes such as impression management, social comparison, and self-regulation.
The Journal of Advertising is published five times each year and is a peer-reviewed academic journal covering advertising theories and their relationship with practice. The publication has been considered the premier journal in the field of advertising since 1972.
