UFCJC Students and Staff Honored in AAF Local and Regional ADDY Awards Competitions
University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Advertising students and staff were the recipients 2022 student and professional ADDY awards from the American Advertising Federation (AAF) North Central Florida and AAF 4th District Florida/Caribbean ADDY Awards competitions. The annual competition, featuring creative work completed in 2021, is coordinated locally by AAF North Central Florida. Gold ADDY winners were automatically forwarded to the AAF Florida/Caribbean 4th District contest.
The local student competition includes entries from students in colleges, universities, and online degree programs. The professional competition includes work from agencies, media organizations, non-profit organizations and businesses.
The AAF North Central Florida student Gold ADDY winners were:

- Out of Home & Ambient Media/ Transit: Devon Blair, Michelle Wang, “Words Kill”
- Elements of Advertising/Illustration Campaign: Gianna Ramos, “Salsa in the Streets”
The AAF North Central Florida student Silver ADDY winners were:

The AAF North Central Florida professional competition winner was:
- Silver ADDY: UF College of Journalism and Communications, Annual Reports, for the 2021 Dean’s Report
In the AAF 4th District Florida/Caribbean competition, two UFCJC student Gold ADDY winners received recognition. These winners were forwarded on to the national contest in June.
Student winners include:
- Gold: Delaney Regnier and Chaeli Norwood, “The Ghost Deer”
- Silver: Norys Curbelo-Bermudez & Sandra Salvatierra, “Refuge Home”
A Gold ADDY is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and is judged to be superior to all other entries in the category. Entries that are also considered outstanding and worthy of recognition receive a Silver ADDY. The number of awards given in each category is determined by the judges, based on the relative quality of work in that category.
