Jen Ford Elected to Serve as National AIGA Incoming Presidents Council Chair
Jen Ford, M.A.M.C 2016, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications director of Marketing and Communications, was elected as Incoming Presidents Council Chair (IPCC) for AIGA, the oldest and largest professional membership organization for design.
The Presidents Council comprises all currently active presidents in good standing at local AIGA chapters and connects the work of local chapters with national communities, councils, and task forces, as well as the AIGA board and its staff.
Ford will serve a one-year term from July 2022-June 2023. After serving as Incoming IPCC, she will step-up to a one-year term as Presidents Council Chair starting in July 2023.
Ford is the founding president of AIGA Gainesville and was named president emeritus in 2020. She has worked at UF since 2015 in positions at the Career Resource Center, UF Online, UF CJC Online and in her current role since 2021. She also served as a graphic and page designer for The New York Times.
She has a BA degree from Idaho State University in Visual Communication/Graphic Design and a Master’s from UF in Mass Communication, Web Design and Online Communication.
