UFCJC Media Production, Management, and Technology Students Receive 2023 Campus Movie Fest Jury Awards
Eight University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Media Production, Management, and Technology students have received 2023 Campus Movie Fest (CMF) Jury Awards for two film entries.
CMF is the world’s largest student film festival, helping over one million students around the world share their stories through film.
“Overnight,” created by F.E.M. Films, centers on a blossoming love story between two college students. The film was written and directed by Sarah Simon. Nadia Cox and Alexandra Hairston served as cinematographers, Anna McFarland, was production designer, Naomi Stellone was the producer with editing by Angel Silva.
“Bad Dishes,” written and directed by Isabella Nielsen and Austin Hurt, is the story of a young woman suffering from her troubled past who bonds with a new friend.
Both Jury Award-winning films will be screened at the Terminus Film & Media Fest from June 16-18 in Hollywood, California. Terminus is a gathering of established storytellers from across the country who will participate in workshops, networking and a celebration of their craft. Both films will be included in the Golden Tripod Awards competition.
