Kim Walsh-Childers, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communication Journalism professor, has accepted the position of chair of the Behavioral/Non-Medical Institutional Review Board (IRB-02) effective July 1, 2023.

The board is responsible for reviewing and monitoring a subset of the research with human subjects conducted at UF, including non-medical behavioral, social and educational projects.

Walsh-Childers, who has been at UF for more than 30 years, joined the IRB-02 in August 2017.
