Natalie Asorey Named a 2023 DAA Distinguished Communicator of Color
Natalie Asorey, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Public Relations Lecturer and associate director for student engagement at The Agency, has been named to the 2023 class of the Diversity Action Alliance (DAA) Distinguished Communicators of Color. She is one of 45 communicators nationwide to receive the honor.
Asorey was recognized as a change-maker and thought leader for diversity efforts across the public relations and communication fields. Distinguished Communicators of Color are honored for their outstanding contributions to the field and for overcoming the barriers that people of color often face in the workplace and society.
The DAA is a coalition of public relations and communication leaders who have joined forces to accelerate progress in the achievement of meaningful and tangible results in diversity, equity and inclusion across the profession for communicators of color.
Asorey has also received a 2022 PRNEWS Special Recognition Platinum Award as the PR Trainer/Educator of the Year, and was named the UF and UFCJC Faculty Advisor/Mentor of the Year for 2021-22. She received the DAA honor at their annual Gala in New York City on June 28.
