Game Day Data Battle: A Fanalytics Face-Off
As football fans watch the Tennessee Volunteers face off against the Florida Gators on the gridiron, another set of competitors will be charging out onto the digital playing field.
This first-ever Game Day Data Battle features Florida’s brand-new Atlas Lab taking on veteran Tennessee’s Adam Brown Social Media Command Center in a competition to produce the best game day social media analysis. Teams from each lab will be listening in on conversations about the September 16 matchup to determine social media winners across several categories. For example:
- Will it be #GoVols, #GoGators, #GBO, or #GatorNation that generates the largest social reach during the game?
- Which team will see the biggest change in fan sentiment?
- Which plays will generate the most social media activity?
- Which players will be mentioned the most often?
- Which team, fan, or university accounts will generate the most engagement during the game?
- Which lab will produce the most interesting data visualizations?
WHEN: Saturday, September 16; lab opens at 6PM, kickoff at 7PM
