43rd College Television Awards is Now Accepting Submissions!
The 43rd College Television Awards application portal is now open, with information about cash awards, eligibility, submission deadlines, and the program’s addition of immersive Los Angeles professional development opportunities for nominees!
This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity can ignite your career in the television industry. Not only does the competition provide industry exposure, but all nominees and winners will become part of the Television Academy Foundation’s Alumni Family and have the opportunity to participate in year-round networking opportunities and events with industry leaders.
2024 College Television Awards Categories:
- Animation: An Animation Series is a series in which the ongoing theme, storyline and main characters are presented under the same title and have continuity of production supervision in an animated format.
- Comedy: A Comedy Series consists of three or more episodes in which the ongoing theme, storyline, and main characters are presented under the same title and have continuity of production supervision.
- Drama: A Drama Series consists of three or more episodes in which the ongoing theme, storyline, and main characters are presented under the same title and have continuity of production supervision.
- Nonfiction: A Nonfiction Series is a series that presents nonfiction, reality, or variety subjects in which episodes are listed under the same title and have continuity of production supervision.
- Commercial, PSA or Promo: Submissions in the Commercial, PSA or Promo category should be between thirty seconds and two minutes long.
- News: For live (to air or tape), regularly scheduled (daily or weekly) newscast, and special editions of a regularly scheduled newscast tied to a breaking or hard news story.
- Sports: For live (to air or tape), regularly scheduled (daily or weekly) sports broadcast. Entire sports broadcasts (not to exceed sixty minutes) must be submitted.
- Loreen Arbus Focus on Disability: The Loreen Arbus Focus on Disability Scholarship recognizes a program that sheds light on people with disabilities by featuring a main character with a disability or helps emerging artists with a disability gain recognition. (Recipient of this category will receive a $10,000 cash prize.)
