Changemakers’ Dialogue Spring Series’ are HERE!
We are so excited to share our four opportunities to engage in dialogue series this semester. Our series is a recurring five-week opportunity that leads the same set of participants through dialogue and critical reflection processes while advancing through the 4-stage model of intergroup dialogue. Once a week, two facilitators help participants establish trust, communicate guidelines, share their stories, and practice how to effectively apply dialogue to difficult conversations or situations. PRIORITY DEADLINE: Sunday, January 21st, at 11:59 PM FINAL DEADLINE: Wednesday, January 24th, at 11:59 PM
Space is limited, and participants must commit to attending ALL five sessions. Early applications are encouraged.

Hidden and Unhidden: Disability and Accessibility
Join our dialogue series as we explore the everyday aspects of life that often remain unnoticed. By understanding accommodations in education, architecture, and technology, we’ll unravel how they impact our experiences. Let’s talk about the different ways disabilities are acknowledged and addressed. Whose challenges do accessibility features really solve, and what issues are still in the shadows? Come be a part of this enlightening journey where we shed light on both the visible and invisible aspects of daily life. |
EARTH-ly Empathy: Environmental Care and Justice
This dialogue series invites you to explore the interconnectedness of our past, present, and future civilizations and their impact on our Earth. In this series, we’ll delve into the actions of past generations that have left a mark on our planet and discuss how we may make up for them through collective efforts. Join us for enriching conversations that highlight awareness, address injustices around the world, and assess our experiences with ongoing efforts. Let’s come together to share, learn, and foster a deeper connection with our earth. Your voice matters—be a part of the change, and let’s cultivate a more caring and just world for generations to come! ** When you apply, you will preference the Tuesday or Thursday section. Once selected, you will attend the same section every week for 5 weeks (all 5 Tuesdays or all 5 Thursdays). |
Imposter Syndrome and Applied Force
Ever find yourself doubting your abilities despite your undeniable achievements? You’re not alone. Join our physics series as we dive into the realm of Imposter Syndrome, a common experience in academic and professional fields. In this welcoming space created just for you, let’s share our stories, explore shared experiences, and engage in open dialogue about the pressures for success in the world of physics. It’s time to break the stigma, boost self-esteem, and build a supportive community where everyone’s unique journey is recognized and appreciated. Together, let’s conquer Imposter Syndrome and unleash the force of your true potential! |
Changemakers’ Dialogues are more than just conversations; they are…
Focused – They explore the group members’ lives and campus experiences in relation to a particular identity or topic. The groups cover topics most of us usually don’t spend time on and allow us to meet fellow students we probably would never meet otherwise. Facilitated – Each group is led by two facilitators, representing different identities involved. These trained students help keep the discussion flowing, on topic, and engaging for everyone. Fair & Full – In every dialogue group, everyone’s experiences, questions, and ideas are part of the learning.
We hope to dialogue with you soon! |
