Two UFCJC Graduating Seniors Honored for Outstanding Scholarship
University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Advertising senior Layla Dubreucq and Journalism senior Brett Posner-Ferdman were selected by the UF Alumni Association and the UF Honors Program as Outstanding Scholars.
The Outstanding Student Scholars selection committee considers grade point average, curriculum, academic awards and a research project or honors thesis.
While at UFCJC, Dubreucq served as the digital content and sales director at Strike Magazine in Gainesville, Florida, and as a communications and marketing assistant at UF Digital Worlds Institute.
Posner-Ferdman served as a Brechner Center researcher and is currently a data visualization and analysis intern for the U.S. Department of State. At the spring commencement, he will also receive a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the UF College of Liberal Arts.
The 15 spring 2024 scholar recipients will be honored at the University-wide commencement on May 3 and will be featured in the program.
