WUFT Media Services and “WUFT Amplified” Honored with 2024 Communicator Award
WUFT Media Services, in the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Division of Media Properties, is the recipient of a 2024 Communicator Awards Award of Excellence in the General-Live Events category for a “WUFT Amplified” episode featuring Casey Jones II.
“WUFT Amplified” features rising stars from North Central Florida’s vibrant music culture . The 30-minute program is broadcast on WUFT-TV 5.1 on Saturdays at 10:30 p.m.
WUFT Media Services is under the direction of Matt Abramson, B.S. Telecommunication 2007, M.A.M.C. 2020. Production team members include Lorenzo Phrasavath, Taylor Vorburger, Rachel Coffey, Carmen Zachary, Julissa Mederos, Tyler Capellini, Thomas Kennedy, James Sullivan, Claire Sierra and Haley Weeks. WUFT-FM Operations Manager Glenn Richards is the host of the series.
The Communicator Awards are dedicated to recognizing excellence, effectiveness, and innovation across all areas of communication. The awards are sanctioned and reviewed by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, an invitation-only group consisting of top-tier professionals from acclaimed media, communications, advertising, creative and marketing firms.
