Amy Jo Coffey’s Media Analytics Textbook Receives 2024 AEJMC Robert Picard Book and Monographs Award
“Media Analytics: Understanding Media, Audiences, and Consumers in the 21st Century” by Amy Jo Coffey, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications Media Production, Management, and Technology associate professor, and University of Georgia Professor Emeritus Ann Hollifield has been selected for the prestigious 2024 Robert Picard Book and Monographs Award presented by the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) Media Management, Economics, and Entrepreneurship Division.
The Picard Award is named in honor of Division member and senior scholar Robert Picard of Oxford University. It recognizes the authors of a book or monograph published during the previous year that makes a significant contribution to the field of media management, economics and entrepreneurship.
“Media Analytics” introduces the key principles of media economics and management and outlines how to interpret and present results, the principles of data visualization and storytelling, and the basics of research design and sampling.
A companion website for the “Media Analytics” book includes additional information and messages from the authors to instructors and students and answers to frequently asked questions.
The textbook also received the 2024 Broadcast Education Association (BEA) Textbook Award earlier this year.
