Julie Frey Installed as 2024-2025 Florida Public Relations Association President
Julie Frey, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Office of Careers and Corporate Partnerships director and UFCJC alumna, was inducted as the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) president on Aug. 6.
In her new role, she will work with chapter presidents, assist chapters with their policies and by-laws, review FPRA policies and procedures and assist with the organization’s strategic plan.
Other UFCJC alumni who will serve on the 2024-2025 board include:
- Wendy Crites Wacker, B.S. Public Relations 1995, immediate past president
- Tina Banner, B.S. Public Relations 1999, vice president of research & planning
In 2022, Frey received a FPRA Golden Image Award for her work with the UFCJC Gator-to-Gator Coaching Program and in 2020 received the John S. Detweiler Professional of the Year Award by the Florida Public Relations (FPRA) Gainesville Chapter.
