Carlina Williams Joins UFCJC as an MPMT Visiting Lecturer for the 2024-2025 Academic Year
Carlina Williams, B.S. Telecommunication Management 2013, will join the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) as a visiting lecturer in the Media Production, Management, and Technology (MPMT) Department for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Williams has been a UFCJC adjunct since January 2024 and created the Media Management in Television and Film course based on the management, development and distribution process of content in streaming, television and film from the perspective of a creative executive.
She is an accomplished creative executive and educator with extensive experience in content development, media management and production within the entertainment industry. She currently is a creative development executive at CWC Productions, where she leads content strategy and development, securing significant funding for projects and fostering relationships with international studios.
Previously, she was a creative executive at Moonbug Entertainment, where she was pivotal in the creation of two hit Netflix shows and the top ranked “Cocomelon Story Time” podcast on Spotify. She also had roles as a development coordinator at Nickelodeon, creative assistant at Universal Pictures and was an associate producer at The Walt Disney Company, where she led the creation and distribution of marketing strategies and launched several successful podcasts for Disney+.
Williams has been actively involved in organizations including Women in Animation and the Black Entertainment Executives Program.
Williams also has a Master of International Business degree from UF.
