Robert Padovano to Speak at UF First-Generation Business Leaders Meeting

Robert Padovano, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Advertising adjunct lecturer, will be a guest speaker for the First-Generation Business Leaders (FGBL) meeting at the Reitz Union on the UF campus on Oct. 28.

Padovano will speak on the importance of networking and present information on the UFCJC Advertising Department.

FGBL focuses on unleashing potential within a select cohort of the first-generation college students, equipping them with mentorship, networking opportunities and access to real-world leadership. The group meets weekly for speaker presentations, outreach activities and social events.

Padovano is the coordinator of the UFCJC Media Sales Certificate program and organizes and hosts Media Sales Day which includes skills-based workshops and networking opportunities with media professionals. In 2022, he received the UFCJC Adjunct Lecturer of the Year Award.
