Nathan Carpenter and UFCJC Graduate Student Author Chapters for New Public Relations and Strategic Communications Textbook
Nathan Carpenter, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Atlas Lab director, and UFCJC graduate student Chris DeFelice have authored chapters in Public Relations and Strategic Communication in 2050: Trends Shaping the Future of the Profession. The textbook was published on Nov. 24.
The book reviews current technological, political and social trends to analyze and predict how these trends will affect the public relations and strategic communication industries of the future.
Carpenter authored Chapter 21, “Measurement and Analytics in 2050: Quantifying Digital and Analog Behaviors,” which focuses on measurements and analytics that are crucial for research, assessment and evaluation for public relations campaigns and strategic development.
DeFelice and Louisiana State University graduate student Kyle Stanley coauthored Chapter 16, Film, Television, and Entertainment Public Relations in 2050: Establishing a New Normal in the Wake of Streaming, AI, and COVID-19. The chapter focuses on the transformative landscape of Hollywood and entertainment public relations amidst disruptive technologies and the aftermath of the pandemic.
