Rachel Grant Receives Prestigious 2024 FEF William R. Jones Valuable Mentor Award
Rachel Grant, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Journalism assistant professor, is the recipient of a prestigious William R. Jones Most Valuable Mentor Award from the Florida Education Fund (FEF).
Grant was nominated by her UFCJC doctoral advisee Nikki Lyons, a McKnight Doctoral Fellow, for encouraging her to present research in the U.S., Europe and Australia and showing grace and encouragement while guiding her research during a stressful period in her life.
William R. Jones Awards are presented to mentors and faculty members who have played major roles in the lives and success of McKnight Fellows. This year, FEF has presented a record number of Jones Awards.
