UFCJC Advertising Alumni and Students Honored in 2024 One Club Miami Awards Competition
Five University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Advertising alumni and students were honored in the 2024 One Club Miami Awards Student Competition. The awards were presented at One Show Miami produced by The One Club for Creativity. The prestigious award show celebrates excellence in creativity, from advertising, design and fashion to visual arts.
The winners include:
“Melanoma” by Andree Yañez, B.S. Advertising 2022, and Duong Pham, B.S. Advertising 2023, received a Bronze award in the Best Art Direction category for a print campaign that was designed to inform people of color that melanoma is a very real.
“Track The Treat Basket” by Advertising seniors Ellie Uchida-Prebor, Jake Tabor and Katie Shine received a Bronze award in the For Good category and a Merit award in the Experiential category. The campaign emphasized how Trick or Treat is a great experience for millions of kids except for those that suffer diabetes.
UFCJC Advertising Lecturer in Creative Mariano German-Coley served as an adviser to the winners.
