Thomas Garvey Receives a 2025 Division Three Superior Accomplishment Award
Thomas Garvey, University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Professional Advising and Teaching Hub (PATH) academic adviser, is the recipient of a 2025 UF Division Three Superior Accomplishment Award.
As a PATH academic adviser, Garvey provides one-on-one guidance to Media Production, Management, and Technology students throughout their UFCJC academic career.
The prestigious award recognizes staff and faculty who contribute outstanding and meritorious service to provide a better experience for students and employees in the university environment.
The honor will be presented at a ceremony on Feb. 25 at UF Emerson Alumni Hall. Men will receive a monetary award of $200 and a framed certificate in appreciation of superior service to UF.
Linjuan Rita Men, UFCJC Public Relations professor and director of Internal Communication Research, and Max Williams, UFCJC Division of Research research administration director, are also recipients of a 2025 Superior Accomplishment Award.
Division Three includes all schools, colleges, departments and units under the Office of the Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs. Division three winners will move forward for consideration for a university-wide Superior Accomplishment Award. These winners will be revealed on April 3, 2025.
