UFCJC Students and Staff Honored in 2025 AAF North Central Florida ADDY Awards Competition
University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (UFCJC) Advertising students and staff were the recipients of 2025 American Advertising Federation (AAF) North Central Florida student and professional ADDY awards. The annual contest, coordinated by AAF North Central Florida chapter, honors creative work completed in 2024. The student competition included entries from UFCJC, Florida State University and FAMU. The awards were presented at an ADDY Awards Gala on Feb. 27.

The local student competition includes entries from students in colleges, universities, and online degree programs. The professional competition includes work from agencies, media organizations, non-profit organizations and businesses. A Gold ADDY is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and is judged to be superior to all other entries in the category. Entries that are also considered outstanding and worthy of recognition receive a Silver ADDY. The number of awards given in each category is determined by the judges, based on the relative quality of work in that category. Gold ADDY awards are automatically forwarded to the AAF 4th District Florida/Caribbean competition and the winners will be announced in May 2025.
The gala event was coordinated by Dan Windels, UFCJC Advertising lecturer, Matt Abramson, WUFT Media Services director, Sue Wagner, and UFCJC/WUFT Community Relations coordinator.
